Terms of Service

These are the rules for using Reps. They are a contract between you and us, so please read them. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
1. Who you are dealing with
Reps is developed and operated by Julián Hardie and Evan Lynch ("Reps", "we", "us"). You can reach us at [email protected].
By creating an account or using the app, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. You must be 16 or older
You need to be at least 16 years old to use Reps. By creating an account you confirm that you are. If we find that an account belongs to someone younger, we will delete it.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate information, and keep your email address up to date so you can recover your account.
- You are responsible for your password and for everything that happens under your account. Do not share it.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone else, and do not create an account to get around a suspension.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else got into your account.
4. Your content stays yours
Everything you post — photos, videos, text, training data — remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it.
To be able to show it, we need your permission. By posting on Reps you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example resizing an image or generating a video thumbnail) and display your content, for the sole purpose of operating and promoting the service, and in accordance with the privacy settings you chose.
This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has already been shared with other users, who may still hold their own copy, and except for copies that remain in backups for up to 30 days.
You confirm that you have the rights to whatever you post and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
5. What you may not do
Reps is a place to train and share progress. The following is not allowed, and will get content removed or your account suspended:
- Sexual content or nudity. Gym clothing and progress photos are fine; sexual content is not.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or attacks based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or any other personal characteristic.
- Violence, or content that promotes or glorifies self-harm or eating disorders.
- Impersonating another person, brand or organisation.
- Selling or promoting anabolic steroids, unprescribed drugs or illegal substances.
- Spam, mass unsolicited messaging, buying or selling accounts, fake followers, or automated bots.
- Posting someone else's private information, or photos of other people without their consent.
- Attacking the service: scraping data, reverse engineering the app, overloading the servers, or bypassing security or access limits.
- Anything that breaks the law in your country.
You can report any content or user from the app. We review reports and may remove content, limit an account or delete it altogether.
6. Crossings and location
Crossings is an optional feature that notices when you trained near another user. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored and what is not.
Use common sense: meeting someone from the app in person is your decision and your responsibility. We do not verify the identity of our users.
7. Reps is not a doctor
Reps is a tool for recording and sharing training. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, nutrition plans or professional training prescriptions. Nothing in the app — nor anything another user publishes — substitutes for a doctor, a nutritionist or a qualified coach.
Training carries risk of injury. Before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or are recovering from an injury, consult a healthcare professional. You train at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for what you do with the information you find here.
If you have symptoms of an eating disorder or your relationship with weight or body image becomes distressing, please seek professional help.
8. Reps Pro subscriptions
- Some features require a paid subscription, Reps Pro. The price and the plans are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account, not to us. We never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Cancelling is done in the store, not in Reps: App Store settings on iOS, Google Play subscriptions on Android. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's policies, and are requested from them. We cannot issue refunds for purchases we never received.
- If we change the price, we will tell you beforehand, and the change only applies to subsequent renewals.
- When a subscription ends, Pro features stop working, but your content and data stay in your account.
9. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time, from Settings in the app or from this page.
We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these Terms, that puts other users at risk, or that we are legally required to remove. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you the chance to respond.
10. The service is provided as it is
We work to keep Reps running, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that data will never be lost. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
We may change, add or remove features at any time. If we have to shut the service down entirely, we will give you reasonable notice so that you can export your data.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, lost data, or injuries arising from physical training. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you never paid, to nothing.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for gross negligence or wilful misconduct. If your country grants you consumer rights that these Terms restrict, those rights prevail.
12. Content of other users
Reps hosts content created by its users. We do not endorse it, we do not verify it, and we are not responsible for it. If something breaks our rules, report it and we will review it.
13. Changes to these Terms
If we change something material, we will announce it in the app before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Reps afterwards means you accept the new version. If you do not agree, you may delete your account.
14. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, and any dispute will be heard by the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires — without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
